ABOUT US Dr Rebuck graduated MB BS with First Class Honors from the University of Sydney and won the University Medal. He subsequently took a Fellowship in Internal Medicine, practiced as a Respiratory specialist and was awarded the MD degree for a Research Thesis on the Control of Breathing.In 1975, he was appointed Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and won the "Teacher of the Year Award". The appointment included that of Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the School of Graduate Studies at the University of Toronto. In 1990, Dr Rebuck was recruited to the Pharmaceutical Industry. Since 1999, he held senior management research positions overseeing projects in China, Australia, USA and the Pacific Rim. He was appointed Vice President and Medical Director for Asia for GSK, Medical Director for Clinical Trials Victoria at the Heart Research Institute, Australia, and Executive Director of Pfizer’s Clinical Research Unit in Singapore. During his time in the US, Tony was Head of the Clinical Team responsible for the Phase 2 and Phase 3 development of the diabetes drug Avandia and made the successful presentation of efficacy to the FDA. Tony now lectures and consults on Clinical Trials and Drug Development in Singapore, Japan, Europe, USA and Australia. In addition, he advises early-stage biopharma companies as well as the life sciences investment community. |
